No one knows exactly where Winnie came from — but the legend begins along the banks of the White River, during the winter of 1985 on the Muckleshoot Indian
Reservation.
Some say she emerged from the cedar trees, drawn by the rhythmic
hum of numbers called and the sudden eruptions of “Bingo!” Others remember
spotting a large white glove waving and then quietly walking away.
But everyone agrees on one thing: ever since she first appeared, Winnie’s been watching over the game she loves. And now – after decades in the shadows – she is finally stepping into the spotlight.
